June 22, 2014 - Respect for Life Baby Shower

Respect for Life “Baby Shower” and Mass

On Sunday June 22nd the members of the Respect for Life Committee held a “Baby Shower” to conclude its first Spiritual Adoption.  Our generous parishioners enjoyed coffee and donuts after dropping off baby items.  All items will be donated to the Life Center of New York and given to mothers in need.

The Spiritual Adoption began the last weekend of October 2013 when parishioners filled out over 200 name cards of “virtual” unborn babies.  The names were placed by Our Lady’s Altar and were brought out during the Mass for Life, which was held on the evening of June 23rd.

The Respect for Life Committee at St. Anselm Parish was formed in September 2011. The primary goal of this committee is to create and sustain respect for all human life at every stage of existence, from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death, and in every situation.

The Respect Life Committee welcomes parishioners to become members and join us in planning new ideas to achieve the goals of the committee. Meetings are held every first Monday of the month at 7:30 PM in the St. Anselm Rectory.

All the Best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
