The Not-So Secret Garden
This spring our Father Stephen Saffron inherited a tomato patch that had potential. The patch, which is located next to the Sacristy, was quickly enlarged and transformed into a wonderful garden boasting different types of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, butternut squash, and zucchini. In addition, Father Stephen added an herb garden and a wall of marigolds to naturally deter the pesky insects that like to “sample the produce.”
Another lovely addition to the garden are the rescued Christmas Poinsettias. With a little TLC and some pruning, they have become beautiful, full plants.
We thought you’d like to see the results of Father Stephen’s labors and his green thumb!
All the Best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
