January 26, 2014 – Sunday Social – Catholic Schools Week & Young at Heart

Catholic Schools Week got off to a wonderful start on January 26th when students, parents, teachers, and parishioners braved the cold to join in the fun at our first Sunday Social of 2014. And what a time it was! St. Anselm Catholic Academy teachers were on hand to talk with current SACA families, greet perspective students and their family members, and catch up with former students.

Attendees also enjoyed coffee, tea, and hot cocoa while noshing on delicious donuts from Mike’s. Some of our younger members met at the Art Table and created beautiful hearts and butterfly designs. And speaking of designs, we had something new at the Social—Georgette and Grace, two of our Young at Heart artisans, sold items made by the talented ladies of St. Anselm. There were bright needlepoint magnets, beautiful scarves, and colorful, warm throws for sale. It was a wonderful opportunity to purchase a unique gift while supporting a great cause. If you would like to join this vibrant organization, please contact Sr. Regina Corde at 718-836-0780.

All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
