Another Great Year to be “Young at Heart”
Meletia Hall (in St. Anselm Catholic Academy) was the place to be on June 2nd when the Young at Heart Members met for their final meeting of the Academic Year. In addition to coffee and treats, the members were able to purchase the lovely handmade items created by the talented members of the Arts & Crafts Club—an offshoot of the Young at Heart. Proceeds from the sales are donated to St. Anselm Catholic Academy (SACA).
During the meeting SACA Principal Mr. James McKeon and Mrs. Gambino from the Home School Association presented 3 plaques. Mr. McKeon thanked the club for the excellent working relationship they have with SACA and welcomed them back for next year. The Arts & Crafts Club was recognized for its generosity toward SACA as was Young at Heart member Ellen Fava. Congratulations and thanks to all!
Young at Heart meets Mondays during the school year. In addition to their get-togethers members have gone on trips to Atlantic City, Moses Sight & Sound Theatre, and Twilight Racing at Belmont. The Arts & Crafts Club, which meets on Wednesdays, welcomes people of all skill levels who are looking to share their gifts to aid a wonderful cause. The members are warm and welcoming and will gladly teach beginners.
We wish the Young at Heart and the Arts and Crafts members a wonderful summer and a marvelous “New Year” complete with more great trips and fun times!
Please contact Sr. Regina Corde if you would like to become a Young at Heart and/or Arts & Crafts Club member.
All the Best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
