April 24, 2016 – The April “Almost Spring” Sunday Social

Easter had come and gone and early April, with an abundance of blooming trees and blossoming bulbs, had made a tentative promise of spring, when winter decided to return and make us wait a few more weeks for weather that could truly be thought of as “spring”. Despite the unseasonable cold spell, parishioners gathered in Meletia Hall on Sunday, April 24thto enjoy each other’s warm company as well coffee or tea and a scrumptious donut or munchkin (ignoring the unwelcomed reappearance of late winter).

While adults chatted and enjoyed each other’s company, the parish’s young artists were busy decorating chicks and butterflies at the art table, fueled with pastries, hot cocoa and apple juice.

Thank you to St. Anselm’s Pastoral Planning Council and Bro. Robert’s Religious Education Program – the co-hosts of the April Social.

As always, a special “Thank You” to our great volunteers for helping to set up, serve and clean up.  These wonderful Sunday Socials could never happen without you!

All the Best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
