December 12 & 13, 2015 – Parish Giving Tree

Grant, Lord, that I may gladly share what I have with the needy…

(St. Thomas Aquinas)

The weekend of December 12th & 13th was another shining example of how generous the people of St. Anselm are!  Parishioners came to our Prayer Chapel with lovely gifts for those in need during our wonderful Parish Giving Tree event, run under the leadership of Sr. Regina Corde, O.P.  The activity, which began on November 21st and 22nd with parishioners selecting “gift tags”, is held annually to provide gifts for the needy.  Your kindness benefits people in our parish and those helped by Catholic Charities, Hour Children, Lutheran Family Center, Hispanic Counseling Center in Hempstead and Mercy Home.

Thank you to Sr. Regina and her Santa’s Helpers, and most especially to the generous parishioners of St. Anselm for sharing so gladly and for providing a much brighter Christmas for those less fortunate.  We are most grateful.

All the merry best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
