December 21, 2014 – An Afternoon of Prayer & Song to Prepare for Christmas

On December 21st St. Anselm Parishioners quickly forgot about the bleak weather outside and enjoyed  “tidings of comfort and joy” during “An Afternoon of Prayer & Song to Prepare for Christmas.”  Fr. Kull began with a Bidding Prayer for peace, goodwill, and healing.  The St. Anselm Adult Choir then filled our Church with their glorious voices with carols including: “Angels We Have Heard On High”; “Carol Of The Bells”; “The First Noel”; “Silent Night”; “O Holy Night”; “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and “Joy To The World.”  Members of the choir read passages of scripture, as well as “One Solitary Life” by Dr. James Allen Francis; which reminds us of the impact Jesus has had on the world even though “he never traveled more than 200 miles from the place he was born.”

We offer our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Kull, Therese Panicali (our Musical Director), Carlos Bernales (our Organist), & all the members of the St. Anselm Adult Choir for their hard work in presenting an absolutely unforgettable afternoon of prayer and song.

All the Best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
