Before the start of the busy holiday season, before the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year, Saint Anselm Parishioners gathered in Meletia Hall of Saint Anselm Catholic Academy to enjoy each other’s company and to catch up on what was new in each other’s lives.
In addition to enjoying coffee, tea, hot chocolate, with marshmallows, and delicious tasty treats, parishioners had the opportunity to peruse and purchase the many wonderful knit and craft items created by members of St. Anselm’s own Young at Heart. Caps, scarves, mittens and baby blankets, along with holiday and seasonal decorations were offered for sale to delighted buyers who had the chance to take home something beautiful, unique, or just fun.
Children enjoyed the selection of hot chocolate, apple juice, donuts and munchkins. While youngsters at the Arts and Crafts table took pleasure creating scratch magic holiday and winter themed decorations.
In December we look forward to the:
* Advent Tree Lighting(Saturday, December 3rd)
* Christmas Workshop(Sunday, December 4th),
* Winter Wonderland and the Parish Giving Tree (Saturday and Sunday, December 10th and 11th),
* Advent Afternoon of Prayer and Song in Preparation for (Sunday December, 18th)
See the bulletin, parish web site, and Facebook for details.
A special “Thank You” at this time of thanksgiving to our wonderful Saint Anselm Sunday Social volunteers, who set up, served, and cleaned up effortlessly, making for a warm and happy time for parishioners and to the many, (MANY!) volunteers throughout the year, who make the parish events possible.
All the Best,
The Saint Anselm Publicity Committee
