St. Anselm Church was the place to be on Saturday, October 8th as dogs of all ages and sizes (and one very brave cat named Emmett) and their humans gathered in front of the church for the annual Blessing of the Animals. Fr. Kull offered a general blessing noting the service and companionship our animals provide and then gave an individual blessing to each. This joyful event is usually held the Saturday after the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th), the patron saint of animals. We hope you will attend the next blessing, which is held in the main vestibule during inclement weather.
On behalf of Emmett the cat, Mango, Jacob, Peanut, Lucy the puppy, and all the other dogs and their humans who love them, we thank Fr. Kull for a lovely ceremony.
All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
