Cub Scout Pack 313, of St. Anselm’s Youth Activities, had its annual Blue and Gold Dinner Saturday, February 10th, in Meletia Hall. It was a great success. Before the dinner, the Scouts first attended the 5 PM Mass, celebrated by Father Kull, who had been a Cub Scout as a boy.
This year’s theme of Minions was all the rage complete with a Minion Selfie Station, Minion centerpieces made by the boys, Minion cake and of course Minion Twinkies. Following dinner all the children enjoyed the educational yet fun animal show put on by AriSafari. Some boys even were able to have a chinchilla put on top of their heads. Pack 313’s Cub-master, Paul Muccigrosso had a green lizard perched on top of his head, which would not let go of his hair.
Followed by all this fun, over 40 raffle baskets were auctioned off. Baskets included an Xbox One, an iPod touch, a 24 inch bicycle, a Minion themed gift basket, a Family Game Night basket and various gift cards from local restaurants, just to name a few.
The evening, a huge success for the pack, was run by Christina Cafiero and Melissa Lavin, who are the Den Mothers to the Lions Cubs Scouts and Alice Ogno, the Cub Scout Commissioner.
Cub Scout Pack 313 is currently busy preparing for the Webelos 2 group “Crossing Over Ceremony” which will be held on March 20th; at that event they will become official Boy Scouts! Very exciting times ahead for the boys; we wish the Webelos luck on their next endeavors!
