On May 21st, at the St. Anselm Parish Sunday Social, ladies of the YAH Wednesday Arts and Crafts group – Ann Costa, Linda Lombardo, Anna Pratti and Helen Geroghty – did themselves proud.

The ladies raffled off a lovely selection of gift baskets – Celebrate with Champagne, A Dream with Sugar and Cream, Chase Away the Chills, Bathroom Basics, A Bag of Books for the Bookworm, The Italian Connection, Fun in the Sun, Pamper Yourself, Kitchen Clean-Up, and Pour la Salle de Bain. Msgr. Maloney, with the assistance of a host of young volunteers drew the tickets that made many parishioners very happy winners.

Thank you to our parishioners at the Social for supporting the raffle!

The raffle helped to raise money for the Young at Heart and the Wednesday Arts and Crafts group and the many activities in the parish, which they support, donations to the parish and to Saint Anselm Catholic Academy being foremost among them.

Recently, in a project called “Loving Hands”, ladies of the Wednesday Arts & Crafts Group have also been creating knit and crochet items for newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units. This worthwhile activity requires special devotion – as the items have to be crafted to standards appropriate to the size of newborns.

Young at Heart meets Mondays at 10 am during the school year in Meletia Hall. The Wednesday Arts & Crafts Group also meets in Meletia Hall – at 10 am on Wednesday mornings.

Everyone is welcome!

All the Best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
