May 13, 2018 – The May Sunday Social

Parishioners had much to celebrate on May 13th as they gathered for our last Sunday Social of the academic year.  In addition, to Mother’s Day, there was a plant sale for the last-minute shoppers looking for a gift for a special gardener, a genuine 50/50 fundraiser raffle held by the St. Anselm Youth Activities Program, and delicious hot beverages (just right for a cool rainy day) along with festive donuts with lots of pink sprinkles to mark the happy occasion!

Parishioners also took the time to chat with Fr. Stephen following his announcement that as of June 30th he will be transferred to St. Josaphat of Bay Side, Queens, where he will be the Parish Administrator and eventually the Pastor.  A party is in the works to thank Fr. Stephen for his years of faithful service to St. Anselm Parish and to wish him well.

We thank the Social Committee Chairs Mary and Tom and volunteers: Barbara, Bob, Eileen, Marisa, and Peter for their work to make the May 13th Sunday Social a wonderful time for us all.  Finally, we thank our generous Parishioners for funding these wonderful events and Msgr. Maloney for his ongoing support of the many family-friendly events at St. Anselm.

This is our last Sunday Social until we meet again in September, so we wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you at Mass, at other St. Anselm events and around Bay Ridge!

All the best,

The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
