June 2018 – SACA 8th Grade Graduation

What an exciting time it was for the SACA graduating class of 2018!  It began on Friday, June 8th with an award ceremony and dinner dance at Sirico’s where the grads, family members and guests enjoyed great food along with music that got people on their feet!

After a day of rest, the families attended a Mass for the graduates on Sunday, June 10th. The final celebration was the commencement, which was held on Friday, June 15th in the church.  SACA Board President John Quaglione, welcomed Grads, families and guests to the celebration of 28 Success Stories.  He noted that the young graduates were given a strong scholastic and Moral foundation at St. Anselm Catholic Academy to achieve their goals.

Eighth grade teacher Janet Batista presented the graduates, naming the scholarships awarded and their high school of choice.  Principal James McKeon reminded the grads of the 2 constants in their lives — Faith & Family.  Msgr. Maloney also stressed these constants, speaking about the sacrifice parents made to provide a catholic education for their children and reminding the students that, “This is your house…You are the people of God!”

Keynote Speaker Fr. Stephen Saffron noted that like the Grads he too would be starting a new life chapter and discussed the need to constantly nurture your relationship with the Lord.

Congratulations to the graduates, their proud families, and of course the dedicated faculty & staff of SACA.

All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
