February 9, 2019 – Cub Scout Pack 313 Blue & Gold Dinner

A very special event took place on February 9th when Cub Scouts, leaders and proud parents met in our Church to attend the Saturday 5pm Mass.  In his homily, celebrant Msgr. Maloney asked some of the Scouts to describe why they joined the organization and their responses were heartwarming –  to follow God and to be a better person.

After the Mass the group went to Meletia Hall for the annual Blue & Gold Dinner/Fundraiser, a fun evening that featured face painting, balloon creations, Lego stations, a lively DJ who kept the dancers moving to the beat, and, of course. great food and conversation.  If that weren’t enough the night also included fabulous raffle prizes which included Lego theme sets, craft sets, gift cards to local restaurants and shops, tickets to sports events, an Instant Pot and an Apple iPod Touch.

Cub Scout Pack 313 began in 1963 and continues to thrive thanks to families who donate their time and talent.  This hearty group includes Leaders/Cubmasters Melissa Pennachio, Kevin Gleason, John McCluskey, Dawn Kendall, Jessica McKenna, Isaac and Jenn Rathbone, Ray Mollica, and Harry D’Onofrio along with Cubmaster John Cafiero, Committee Chair Christina Cafiero and Committee Members Melissa and Seamus Lavin.

We thank the volunteers for their help and good cheer and offer a special “Thank You” to the families for their generous prize donations and to all the proud family members and friends who came out to support such a wonderful cause.

All the best,
