March 1, 2019 – Oh, What a Night! Radio Bingo

St. Anselm Parish held its first Radio Bingo Fundraiser on March 1st and it was a blast…from the past, as parishioners and friends of St. Anselm met at Meletia Hall in St. Anselm Catholic Academy to play a very different version of the Bingo we all know.  Participants were given Bingo cards with song titles from the 60s – 90s.  Parts of songs were played as the group sang along and colored in the hit titles on their Bingo cards (the DJs even helped by supplying many of the titles).  Songs like “Brown Eyed Girl”, “Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da” and “Dancing Queen” had the group singing along with delight.  The evening also included dancing to “Y.M.C.A.” and even doing the  Limbo to the lively “Jump In The Line.”

In addition to the Radio Bingo prizes, there were wonderful gift baskets and a 50/50 raffle.  Congrats to all the winners, singers, and dancers who came out to have a great time and succeeded!

We thank Chair, Michele Soto, and her committee Jeanine Condon, Eileen Loughlin, Regina McPadden, and Eileen White for their attention to the details that make events, such as these, successful and so much fun.  We would also like to thank volunteers Florence Diaz, Bob Kassenbrock, Peter Loughlin, Bernadette McLaughlin, and Simone Mouakkassah for their help and good cheer.  Thanks as well to Msgr. Maloney for supporting all things “St. Anselm” and finally to everyone who put on their dancing shoes and joined us.  Thank you all!  We can’t wait for next time!

All the best,
