On the morning of April 20th, an energetic and dedicated group of parishioners came together to decorate the church for the celebration of Easter – the holiest day in the church calendar. The volunteers were greeted with a magnificent array of flowers — red and pink azaleas, magenta, blue and white hydrangeas, and the Easter lilies in the Rosary Chapel waiting to be unpacked. They quickly got busy watering and then arranging the flowers around the altar, in front of the Baptismal Font and by the beautiful shrines. The altar cloth was lovingly placed along with the Easter banner and the statue of the Risen Christ.
Friends, old and newly discovered, discussed their Easter plans while working together to see what else needed to be done to prepare our beautiful church for the Easter Solemnity. We thank our Decorating Committee members: Bernadette, Bob F., Bob K., Cono, Daniella, Danielle, Delilah, Joe, Linda, Kim, Florence, Eileen, Ossie, Patrick, and Peter for their loving commitment. We also thank our generous parishioners for their Easter Flower donations, which made it all possible.
All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
