Our November 17th Sunday Social was a bittersweet one as we met to say a fond “Thanks and Farewell” to Fr. Fred Cintron who was leaving to pursue his next ministry as Chaplain at Rikers Island. Many parishioners enjoyed a quick cup of coffee and a donut and then went over to say goodbye and wish Fr. Fred well. In his homily at the 12pm Mass that day, Father explained that we all need Christ in our lives especially those who are incarcerated.
While Fr. Fred has been a Parochial Vicar at St. Anselm for only a short time, he has left a great impression on Parishioners with his good humor, kind spirit and thoughtful homilies. We will miss him greatly. We thank Fr. Fred for his service to our Parish and ask that you pray for him in his new ministry.
All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
