October 21 & 22, 2023 – St. Anselm Louise Troisi Winter Clothing Drive

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day,… but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?

 Epistle of St. James 2:15-16

St. Anselm Parish held its annual Louise Troisi Winter Clothing Drive during the weekend Masses on October 21st & 22nd. The support was magnificent, with bag upon bag of clothing being brought to the Rosary Chapel for Catholic Charities to distribute to those in need in Brooklyn and Queens to help keep people warm during the winter months.

“Thank You” to Bay Ridge Catholic parents for contributing winter-wear, to St. Anselm Youth Activities for their donation of flannel PJs and clothing, and to the scores of parishioners who came with clothing, socks, gloves, hats, and other necessities.

And – a special “Thank you” to Kim Parker, Committee Chair, and to a wonderful committee who greeted and thanked the donors as they entered the Rosary Chapel with their gifts and on Monday carried the donations out to the Catholic Charities vehicle: Jeanine Condon, Florence Diaz, Barbara Fabris, Mary Gelormino, Bob Kassenbrock, Eileen & Peter Loughlin, Bernadette McLaughlin, Fr. Ray Basilious and our pastor – Fr. John Hwang.

“Thank you” as well to John Gonzalez and all the staff of Catholic Charities – and to Catholic Charities for the wonderful services they provide throughout the year.

All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
