Catholic Schools Week at Bay Ridge Catholic Academy began with a Parish Sunday Social in the Academy’s McMahon Auditorium. Parents, teachers and students, and St. Anselm parishioners enjoyed the opportunity to chat while partaking of a delicious assortment of treats, hot cocoa, coffee and tea. On hand for the gathering were Mr. Paul Morisi, Principal of Bay Ridge Catholic, Fr. John Hwang, Pastor of St. Anselm Parish, Fr. Ray, Msgr. Phillips, Msgr. Marino, and Deacon Davis.
The Sunday gathering kicked off a week of Academy activities, offering parents and prospective Academy parents the opportunity to tour the building and to attend events throughout the week to learn more about the wonderful, Christ-centered programs offered by the Academy.
An activity like a Parish Sunday Social doesn’t just happen – and so we say “thank you” to our wonderful chairs: Barbara Fabris and Eileen Loughlin, and to a great committee: Shirley Chin – Scout Master of Troop 18g, Jeanine Condon, Danique, Bob Kassenbrock, Peter Loughlin, Nancy Nolan, Judy Savarese, Pat Stramka, and Josephine Volpe, and the wonderful young ladies of Troop 18g: Addison, Alicia, Amy, Annie, Chloe L., Katelyn, Leanne, Nicko, and Samantha, who served and helped cleanup, with a smile, making the social run smoothly – thank you ladies!.
