When the Easter Bunny heard that St. Anselm Youth Activities was having a BUNNY BRUNCH PARTY – the Easter Bunny just knew he had to come. And so, it was no surprise that the guest of honor on April 5th, 2025 at the Youth Activities BUNNY BRUNCH in Bay Ridge Catholic’s Meletia Hall was the Easter Bunny himself, who was joined by lucky boys and girls for a fun afternoon of games, dancing, raffles, a petting zoo, and of course, pizza!
While the Easter Bunny’s favorite food is – you guessed it – carrots, it seemed that the children and parents were happy to enjoy – pizza and Bunny Hop Punch or the Peter Rabbit Punch; both served during the afternoon. We don’t know which punch the Easter Bunny enjoyed; apparently some things about the Easter Bunny are destined to remain a mystery.
The Bunny Brunch had great music for dancing, provided by Music by DJ Joey, who led the children and the guest of honor in such favorites as the “Hokey Pokey”, “YMCA” and the “Chicken Dance”. As everyone knows the Easter Bunny loves to dance. And so, that’s exactly what the big Bunny did on Saturday afternoon. Apparently, big feet are no problem when it comes to dancing. Then, after dancing the Easter Bunny posed for pictures with the children under an arch of Easter eggs.
While the children were dancing and having their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, the adults had the opportunity to try their luck – without the help of a rabbit’s foot – at a wonderful selection of raffle prizes and the ever-popular 50/50 Raffle.
We thank Christina Cafiero and Athena Maldari, Chairs of the Bunny Brunch, the young ladies of Scout Troop 18G: Anne, Samantha, Chloe, Nicko, Amy, Chloe & Chloe, Troop Leader – Shirley Chin, all our young volunteers: Julian, Louis, Noah, Joe, John & James, and the parent volunteers: Guy Maldari, Renata Giles, Danielle Elgart, Jesse Elgart, James Caulfield, Ambrose Fabbro, Goddia Luciano, Joe Carey, John Carey, John Cafiero, Lindsey Breslin & Laurie Wiersbowski, for all their work to make this event so successful! And, an extra special thanks to Cathy Baez, for bringing our friend the Easter Bunny to the PARTY!
All the Happy Easter best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
