On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, Saint Anselm parishioners gathered in Bay Ridge Catholic Academy’s McMahon Auditorium for our Palm Sunday – Sunday Social, chatting with Fr. John, Fr. Ray, and family and friends while enjoying a delicious selection of donuts, coffee and tea. Visible at many tables were bunches of palms and palm crosses, brought in by parishioners from the 10am Mass, marking the special day, the start of Holy Week.
Sunday Socials are made possible thanks to our great committee chairs – Barbara Fabris and Eileen Loughlin, and the participation of our fantastic volunteers: Danique, Bob Kassenbrock, Peter Loughlin, Linda Naradovy, Judy Savarese, Pat Stramka, and Josephine Volpe and the wonderful young ladies from Scout Troop 18G: Amy, Chloe E., Chloe L., Addison, Alicia, Annie, Sophie, Nicko, Samantha, – scout leader, Shirley Chin.
Our next Sunday Social will be on May 11th – Mother’s Day. At the May Social the winning ticket of the Youth Activities 50/50 Raffle will be drawn – “You’ve got to be in it to win it” – if you haven’t purchased a ticket, reach out to the Youth Activities Office in the Rectory, (718) 238-2900 X 109. Youth Activities is also holding its upcoming Pastors’ Golf Tournament on Friday, May 30th at Dyker Beach Golf Course – volunteers are welcome, call the Rectory.
These are two great events that benefit the young people of our parish.
We hope to see you in May!
All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
