On Friday evening, May 2nd, St. Anselm Parish held its spring fundraiser, hosting Charlie Romo in Concert. The tenor provided a fantastic evening of entertainment, presenting classic songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s by Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and others, which was enjoyed by the enthusiastic audience of St. Anselm parishioners and friends.
Louis at A.L.C. Italian Grocery on 3rd Avenue, made the evening special with the donation of an amazing buffet spread of delicious Italian specialties, which was enjoyed by all – thank you.
While listening to the musical styling of Charlie Romo, the audience had the opportunity to try their luck on a wonderful selection of donated raffle gifts. “Thank you”: BRC HAA, BRC Fathers’ Club, Charmed by JLM, the Fabris family, Bob Kassenbrock, the Loughlin family, Judy Savarese, Jo Volpe, the Keating family, the D’Onofrio family, and Marisa Rossetti for your generosity. Congratulations to all the gift basket winners, and to the winner of the ever-popular 50/50 Raffle!
Events, like our fundraiser, require a great deal of help and we were blessed to have Liz Bannister, Shirley Chin, Jim Condon, Annette Corrigan, Danique, Florence Diaz, Barbara Fabris, Barbara Geary, Bob Kassenbrock, Peter Loughlin, Linda Naradovy, Esperanza Ramos, Judy Savarese, Jo Volpe, and Suzanne Whiteaker, and our wonderful chairs: Jeanine Condon and Eileen Loughlin, who gave their time and many talents to organize, prepare and run the event.
Generosity is crucial to any fundraiser, and so we thank all the parishioners and friends of St. Anselm who came out for a great evening of song from Charlie Romo; cheering and applauding so enthusiastically and participating, so generously, in the raffles. You made our spring fundraiser a success – THANK YOU!
All the best,
The Saint Anselm Publicity Committee
