On Friday, May 30th, St. Anselm Youth Activities held its 26th annual golf outing, “The Pastors’ Tournament”, at the Dyker Beach Golf Course. “Thank You” to Tom McCarthy, chair, and Anne Texeira, Janet Bonamassa, Michele Soto, Frank Barnao, Joe Carey, and Anthony LoPiccolo for making the event possible!
After one of the rainiest May’s in years – the clouds cleared and the sun came out for a perfect spring day. Lunch, golf, dinner, raffle prizes – time with friends and family – truly a perfect day. Everyone had a great time!
The golfers enjoyed a delicious lunch, said “hello” to the other guests, and tried their luck on the wonderful selection of gift raffles and the ever-popular 50/50 raffle, all the while chatting amiably with Fr. John and Fr. Kevin.
After the lunch, Fr. John blessed the golfers, who then got into their golf carts and the tournament began with a 1:30 PM shotgun start.
But, the day was far from over. It continued after the competition. During a delicious evening dinner, awards for the players and the winners of the raffle prizes – were announced.
“Thank you” to all the players, sponsors and the ‘dinner only’ guests for supporting this wonderful fundraiser. “Thank you” Youth Activities for its many great programs for the young people of the parish, Bay Ridge Catholic, and the community.
