Our Lady of Angels and Saint Anselm Parishes celebrated their new partnership on Sunday, September 28th with a Mass & Picnic at OLA.
The day began with the 12 Noon Mass in Our Lady of Angels, with Fr. Kevin as the principal celebrant. A great congregation listened to the beautiful hymns offered by the OLA chorus, under the direction of Music Director, Mr. Scott Battaglia and the homily by Fr. Kevin, who spoke about the Sunday Gospel theme of Lazarus and the poor man.
Following the Mass, the congregation moved out to the small school courtyard to enjoy a wonderful buffet selection of foods, as well as hot dogs and hamburgers, all prepared by OLA parishioners. Meanwhile, in the 9/11 Memorial courtyard, children enjoyed rides and games, cotton candy and ices.
Thank you Fr. Kevin and all those whose planning, hard work and dedication made for a beautiful and inspiring Mass. A special “Thank you” to all the OLA parishioners who prepared and served the delicious food, welcoming us to the Picnic.
Beautiful weather for a day with a beautiful Liturgy and Picnic, a great start to the new partnership between Our Lady of Angels and Saint Anselm parishes, to celebrate together!
All the best,
The Saint Anselm Publicity Committee
