On Thursday, Oct. 16th, 2025, Saint Anselm Young Adults presented a program on the life of the recently canonized, Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati in Saint Anselm Church. Fr. James Kuroly, Rector President of Cathedral Prep School and Seminary, gave the evening’s presentation.
Fr. Kuroly spoke movingly about Pier Giorgio’s life, which was both deeply spiritual and yet, at the same time, very ordinary:
A life of joy – Pier Giorgio enjoyed being out with friends and socializing; participating in the every day activities that they shared.
A life of service to the poor – Pier Giorgio devoted much time in visiting and ministering to people living in the slums; supporting social reform.
A life of deep spirituality – Pier Giorgio attended Mass and received of Holy Communion daily; he prayed the Rosary and meditated in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament daily.
At the conclusion of his presentation, Fr. Kuroly lead the faithful in veneration of a relic of St. Pier Giorgio, with the congregation coming forward to the relic to show reverence.
Thank you St. Anselm Young Adults, Msgr. Marino – Moderator, and Fr. Kuroly for an inspiring evening.
All the best,
The Saint Anselm Publicity Committee
