Lions and tigers and…well, no bears, but witches, ghosts, cartoon characters, super heroes and vampires, Vampiers, and VAMPIERS, were all at Meletia Hall on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 to join in the fun of Saint Anselm Youth Activities 21st Annual Halloween Spooktactular. And spectacular it was for the scores of children, their parents and grandparents who enjoyed an afternoon of games, dancing, food, pumpkins, the Haunted Maze, and – raffles and donated prizes!
The DJ kept the energy level going, the youngsters dancing to a medley of old favorites. The kids even got to try out their dexterity at doing the limbo. Then between the pizza, the drinks, and the games came the highlight of the afternoon for most of the kids – the Mummy Wrap with children and parents being swathed to delighted laughter.
Events like the Spooktacular require a tremendous amount of planning and effort. We are grateful to Chair Christina Cafiero and Master Maze Builder John Cafiero for all their amazing work, and to a wonderful army of parent volunteers who came out to help make the magic happen: Lisette Ardovini, Cathy Baez, Sharon Diaz, Bob Kassenbrock, Danielle Long, Eileen & Peter Loughlin, Goddia Luciano, and Ed & Sue Volpe.
“Thank you”, also, to a host of junior volunteers who helped at the game stations, pumpkin decorating, and the canteen: Abigail, Abigail J., Aiden, Chloe, Christine, David, Isaac, James, Jovanni, Luis, Max, Mia, Mohammed, Nicholas, Patricia, Simon, Steven, Steven, & William.
We look forward to next year!
All the spooky best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
