April 4, 2026 – Decorating the Church for Easter

St. Anselm parishioners came together on Holy Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2026 to transform our church for the celebration of Easter.  White Easter lilies, and colorful hydrangeas were taken out of the Msgr. Phillips Rosary Prayer Chapel and placed in the unadorned Sanctuary. The shrines throughout the church received hydrangeas and baskets filled with lilies and carnations, and two magnificent floral arrangements were placed on either side of the tabernacle, all to remind us of the most important celebration in our church year – the Resurrection of Our Lord.

Then, with the placement of our beautiful banner “The Resurrection and the Life” and the statue of the Resurrected Christ, our church was ready to celebrate Easter.

We at St. Anselm have many people to thank for coming to lend a much appreciated helping hand: Fr. Ray Basilious, Nelson Caraballo, Christine Ciccarone, Ossie Diaz, Margo Hart, Johnny Hernandez, Bob Kassenbrock, Peter Loughlin, Bernadette McLaughlin, Jennifer Pain, Kim Parker, Alexander Pollock, Ralitsa Sullivan, Anne Texiera, and our young volunteers: Issy, Johnny, Sarclett, and Thomas.

A special “thank you” to Florence Diaz and Eileen Loughlin, Chairs of the Decorating Committee, to Fr. Kevin, our pastor – for his support, and to our wonderful parishioners for your generosity.

All the best,
The St. Anselm Publicity Committee
