April 4th & 5th, 2026 – Celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord

Before St. Anselm parishioners came into the church for the Celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord at the Easter Vigil Mass, preparations had already taken place to prepare the church for the celebration. Thanks to a small army of volunteers, earlier in the day, the sanctuary and the shrines had been decorated with flowers, and the Easter Banner – The Resurrection and the Life, along with the statue of the Risen Jesus had been set in the sanctuary. By the Baptismal font, Easter water was placed on the pews for members of the congregation to take home and baskets filled with candle tapers had been positioned for worshippers to take as they entered.

The liturgy began with the lighting of the Easter Fire in the vestibule. Tapers were lit from the fire and the light was passed from parishioner to parishioner until the church was filled with the light of the Risen Christ!

At the Mass, two catechumens were received into full membership in the Church with the reception of the Easter Sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist. Welcome and congratulations to our new parishioners. We wish them well on their journey of faith with Our Lord.

“Thank you” to the cantors and organist for the music, which added so much to the beauty and solemnity of the liturgy, to Fr. Kevin, our pastor for all the planning that went into the liturgy, and to Fr. Ray Basilious, the celebrant of the Easter Vigil Mass.

“Thank you” to the parishioners who came to celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord at the Easter Vigil Mass.

The Celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord continued on Easter Sunday morning at the 8am and 11am Masses and at all the Masses throughout the week.

The Easter Season continues to the Feast of Pentecost – May 24th.

Happy Easter 2026!
