Consolation Ministry
St. Anselm’s Ministry of Consolation was formed in 2008 in response to one of our Pastoral Planning Council’s goals “to broaden our response to the needs of our parishioners and community.”
Our Ministry offers comfort, unassuming support and hope to our parishioners who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Coordinators call and may visit with the families to help them prepare for the funeral liturgy and parishioners who volunteer take turns attending and assisting at the Funeral Masses. Usually the time commitment is about two hours per month.
If you would like to learn more, please call the rectory at 718-238-2900. In the giving of our time we receive so much more.
